Claimant Securities Lawyers took to Capital Hill to Reform FINRA Arbitrator Pools
The Public Investors Arbitration Bar Association (PIABA) undertook and lengthy study of the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) arbitrator disclosures and found very little diversity in the pool and that the majority of the arbitrators could be predisposed to favor the industry. They then took the disturbing results to Capital Hill and asked for reforms. Strike up one for the good guys and a hearty well done to all involved.
